About Dave Melear
Dave Melear recalls his experience of walking in the early morning light; Mother Nature opened her arms wide and said to me “do you see me” and I did. Dave sees the world through his camera lens. Pictures may speak a thousand words, but there are not enough words to describe capturing the beauty of nature. Dave’s photographs freeze a moment in time that is so often passed by, missed, unseen, or taken for granted. Nature is the one true beauty that creates glimpses into God’s pure creations. Seeing the world through a lens has become a passion and refuge for Dave Melear. When life took a turn for him and handed him cancer, he fought back and won. During that fight he learned to see those moments and capture them every chance he got. He sees the breathtaking views of a waterfall, the sweet innocence of a doe and fawn, or the painting of a setting sun and appreciates them for their grace and power.
